My MAC pinky nude collection with swatches

Hi Stunners
If you know me you would know that I absolutely LOVE lipstick. It has only recently occurred to me that my pinky nude shade collection has increased quite a bit. It’s obvious that these are my favourite kinda shades because they give that “your-lips-but-better” look that appears so natural. Not a day goes by (besides the no makeup indoor days) where I don’t wear lipstick, be it a lightly tinted shade or a nude lipstick. My lips just feel naked without any colour.
I’ve been a huge fan of MAC lipsticks because not only do they offer a huge colour selection in different finishes but their quality is amazing and consistent. They’re also consistently releasing new shades and collections which is quite exciting.

I must say that it’s quite challenging to find the perfect pinky nude shade that won’t make you look washed out (some can be very pale and not flattering at all). I have tried quite a few and it has taken a while for me to finally have found a few that I think complements my skin tone best. For reference, I’m in the shade NC41 MAC Studio fix fluid.
So let’s get started!

Patisserie, Creme Cup, Angel, Peach Blossom, Pure Zen and Viva Glam V.

M.A.C Patisserie

Description: MAC describes Patisserie as a ‘Sheer creamy neutral pink’. I think this is an accurate description. The colour can look slightly different on different skin tones, so just keep that in mind.

Finish: Lustre – meaning it’s relatively sheer, buildable and still has enough shine to it. It’s the perfect everyday lipstick.
Thoughts: The colour doesn’t last as long as some of the other finishes but I absolutely adore it. It contains some glitter particles but they’re not that noticeable. It’s easy to apply, goes on smoothly and the best part is that you don’t even have to use a mirror. This is one of those lipsticks that I ALWAYS keep in my bag.

M.A.C Creme Cup

Description: MAC describes creme cup as a “light blue pink”. It’s a great milky nude pink shade perfect for the everyday pink lip.

Finish: Cremesheen – it’s is a creamy and moisturising lipstick that has enough shine to it without the lipgloss look.
Thoughts: I love that this lipstick gives a plump look but it can, however, accentuate dry lips so just make sure that you’ve exfoliated your lips and gotten rid of all the dry skin.

M.A.C Angel

Description: MAC describes Angel as a “soft pink” and that’s precisely what it is.

Finish: Frost – meaning it has a sheer formula with some tiny glitter particles. Luckily this one isn’t overly glittery.
Thoughts: This is a great lipstick to pair with a bold smokey eye. The formula is great because it has some micro shimmer to is but it’s not too flashy. Like Creme Cup it tends to cling to dryness so exfoliating your lips is important. Another thing to note is that Angel can be considered Creme Cups older sister. They look similar but Angel is slightly more pinkish.

M.A.C Peach Blossom

Description: MAC describes Peach Blossom as a “frosted cool nude” but I think it’s more a peachy pink shade.

Finish: Cremesheen
Thoughts: When applied this lipstick makes my lips look sumptuous. This is such a flattering everyday colour that’ll go well with any outfit.

M.A.C Pure Zen

Description: MAC describes Pure Zen as a “warm frosted nude”. This lipstick has pink and peach undertones which make it so damn purdy!!

Finish: Cremesheen + Pearl – meaning that it has a rich creamy texture that has natural conditioning agents locking in moisture for a soft supple look. Light reflecting pearls add amazing high shine and shimmer.
Thoughts: Pure Zen is a very versatile nude in that it can be worn with more neutral eye makeup as well as a smokey eye look without making one look extremely washed out which tends to happen with some nude shades.

M.A.C Viva Glam V

Description: MAC describes Viva Glam V as a “neutral pink with pearl”. To me, Viva Glam V appears to be more of a pearly pink nude with a faint brown tint to it.

Finish: Lustre – sheer, buildable with enough shine and very soft shimmers to it.
Thoughts: I didn’t think I would love this lipstick as much as I do. It’s a great lipstick to wear when you want something neutral with a bit of more character to it. The shimmers definitely make the lips look lush.

These are the pinky nude shades I own. I love each one of them equally and would definitely repurchase them. I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helps you if you are considering purchasing any of these colours. What is your favourite MAC lipstick or finish? Do you own any of these shades and if so, what are your thoughts?

Toodles Stunners! Xx
