#FocusOnFlawlessSA With Environ and BeautyBulletin

Hey Guys!

I feel like it’s been forever and I also feel like I’ve been saying this quite often, Haha! Anyways, as some of you might know, Jason and I tied the knot 2 months ago and let’s just say that the final 2 weeks building up to the wedding were rather stressful and so I felt some time away from EVERYTHING ( I lie, I wish it was everything) was needed and this is the reason I’ve been MIA! I figured since I’m back I’d fill you guys in on the exciting #FocusOnFlawless campaign with Environ and Beauty_bulletin that I’ve been partaking in for the past 3 weeks.

About Environ

“Environ is a globally recognised and loved professional skincare brand that is built on science, beauty and care.  The introduction of Vitamin A into skin care formulations was a ground-breaking development in skincare. Dr Des Fernandes, rated amongst the top 5 plastic surgeons in the world, was a pioneer in this field in the 1980’s. He was the first to use Vitamin A in high enough doses that helped counteract the harmful effects of the environment, pollution and stress, and create radiant, visibly improved skin.  Vitamin A has become the cornerstone ingredient in the Environ skincare philosophy. “

My skin concerns

I’ll be 31 on the 29th of December,( hint hint for those of you who want to spoil me lol) this is the age where one starts seeing fine lines becoming a little more prominent and our skin starts looking rather dull. Skin cell turnover slows down as early as your 20s, meaning dead cells start accumulating on the surface of the skin resulting in loss of radiance.

Environ Focus Cared Range

Environ Focus Care Youth + Tri Biobotanical Revival Masque 50ml  – R1020

img_3366.jpg

Description

“Hailed as the “facelift in a jar” the Focus Care Youth+ Revival Masque contains a trio of powerful alpha hydroxy acids that assist in firming, smoothing and softening skin for a more youthful experience. “

Key Ingredients

  • Lactic Acid
  • Asiatic Acid
  • dl-Mandelic Acid

How to use it

Option 1: 10-20 minute masque (introduce once or twice per week and gradually increase up to where the skin can tolerate.)

  1. Pre-cleanse, cleanse tone before applying a thin, even layer of the masque to the skin and leave on for up to 20min.
  2. Rinse with water and follow with your recommended Environ Vitamin A moisturiser, in the evening.

Option 2: Overnight masque (advanced application method)

  1. Pre-cleanse, cleanse tone and moisturise with your recommended Environ Vitamin A moisturiser
  2. After waiting 20 minutes, apply a thin, even layer of the masque over the moisturiser and leave on overnight.
  3. Rinse with water in the morning.

My experience

Packaging

The packaging on the masque is pretty innovative. The use of an airless pump dispenser prevents the product from excessive exposure to air, thus increase product shelf life. When you depress the pump it creates a vacuum effect drawing product upwards. This ensures that you use almost all of the product, so no wastage. It also comes with a synthetic brush which allows for a precise application.

The scent

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not too fond of the scent. It has a mix of spice aroma but it isn’t horrible, just not too pleasant.

Texture

This has a milky shade to it but looks clear on the skin, the actual texture feels liquidy but isn’t too runny. It dries up pretty quickly but not to a point where it feels tight and uncomfortable.

My thoughts

I’ve used this product as directed but I love covering my neck as well so I use two full pumps to cover this entire area. I experienced a slight tingling feeling but nothing uncomfortable. There’s nothing better than using a masque and seeing a difference after the first use. My skin looked firmer and the fine lines on my forehead looked less pronounced. What I also love is that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight and dry after the product has been rinsed off.

My experience

Packaging

This oil comes in capsules, another innovative way to preserve active ingredients. I love this type of packaging as this also ensures that you use the perfect amount of product, so no wastage.

Scent

There was something about this scent that had a whiff of a calming herb to it. I then had a look at the ingredients and realised that the rosemary extract leaf could be the reason for this.

Texture

This oil feels like a silicone but isn’t greasy at all. I love that it doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin and sinks in gradually.

My thoughts

I received 10 capsules and applied this after using the revival masque. I always use oil in my skincare regimen so I was excited to see how my skin would react to this one. I was super impressed because my skin looked plumper which means it definitely worked in terms of moisturising the skin. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a huge difference with the fading of the pigm entation of this one spot I have. I think a product like this one needs to be used over an extended period in order for one to see a dramatic difference.   I’m glad that I was part of this campaign. I haven’t used many products from Environ but I’m eager to introduce some of their products to my skin regimen. I enjoyed the masque from the Youth+ range the most and highly recommend this product.   Have you used any of these products? Is Environ a brand you trust and would recommend? I would love to hear which of their products you simply can’t live without?
