Pixi Beauty Milky Collection First Impressions {Gifted}

I love unboxing press drops especially when the packages are as creative as the ones I receive from Pixi Beauty. I just love the thought behind these drops and love their products even more.

Today I’m unboxing the Hydrating Milky Collection which includes 6 products that are essential for maintaining your skin’s moisture levels. These products are suitable for all skin types and yes, even those of us with oily or combination to oily skin.

Hydrating Milky Collection

Step 1: Remove

This step includes the Hydrating Milky Makeup Remove which is a gentle remover that wipes away your most long-wearing eye, lip and face makeup without stripping your skin of its essential moisture.

I was so surprised by how gentle this remover felt on the skin. It felt like my skin was being nourished while I was removing my makeup. The effectiveness of the remover also caught me by surprise. It melts and removes the makeup with ease.

Step 2: Cleanse

The creamy gentle daily cleanser is infused with Coconut Extract, Willow Bark Extract and skin-perfecting Probiotics. It has a pretty thick-ish creamy texture, that spreads well and once rinsed leaves the skin barrier so well nourishes.

My skin feels clean and well hydrated after using the cleanser.

Step 3: Peel

Pixi’s Natural Cellulose-enriched micro-peeling Hydrating Milky Peel is a gentle exfoliator that’s infused with botanical ingredients such as Willow Bark Extract, Cinnamon Extract as well as Arginine which is known to encourage collagen and elastin production.

I love a gentle exfoliator and this one does exactly what it claims. Leaves my skin feeling smoother and my complexions instantly brighter.

Step 4: Tone

I haven’t used a more gentle toner than this one. The milky tonic is enhanced with skin-loving botanicals such as Matricaria Flower Water, Jojoba Seed Oil to name a few. Ingredients that are known to balance and hydrate the skin.

My skin feels so soothed and well-nourished after using this toner.

Step 5: Treat

This step includes the Hydrating serum and claims to intensely hydrate the skin while improving elasticity.

I have to use this serum for a few weeks to see whether it does anything for elasticity but one thing I can comment on is how lightweight it feels. This is the perfect serum to use before makeup as it’s doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin.

It absorbs quickly and provides sufficient hydration. Your skin is left feeling plump and has a beautiful natural radiance to it.

Step 6: Moisturize

This multi-use moisturizing lotion can be used on your face and body. With skin-loving ingredients such as Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Seed Extract, Sweet Almond Oil and Black Oat Extract, you’re guaranteed deep hydration every time.

This Moisturizer, like the serum, feels pretty lightweight but takes a little while to fully absorb.

Final thoughts

A few days before I received this press dropped, I recall thinking that I needed to switch up my skincare routine. My skin was looking rather dull and my fine lines looked more prominent. This is how I can tell that I need to switch things up or boost my skin with hydrating products.

This collection came at the perfect time. I’ve been using those products for the past two weeks and my skin looks plump, youthful and well-nourished.

I have oily to combination skin and I haven’t experienced any breakouts and my skin isn’t overly oily. These products provide hydration but also balances out the skin, so you don’t have to worry about becoming overly oily for those of you who have oily skin.

The hydrating Milky Collection collection would be perfect to start using as we transition from Autumn to winter. The dryer and colder weather call for products that’ll provide instant hydration, so I intend on keeping this collection for then and I know my skin will love me for this.

Let me know if you’d try any products from this collection? Have you tried any and if so, what are your thoughts on this range?
