Yes, I know lol, it’s already February but this is my first blog post for the year so I had to say it. Hope the start of the year has treated you all well and if you’ve set goals or New Year Resolutions, that you’re remaining focused.

Today I’m doing an unboxing of this stunning PR package that I received from Pixi in December. I’ve played around with the products and been loving the way each of these has performed so far. Will update this post in a few weeks time.

#20YearsOfGlow PR Package

Petra puts a lot of thought into the packaging of her products and PR boxes. I was squealing like a little girl when I opened this box.

The box contains seven Pixi award-winning favourites, as stated by Petra. The products range from skincare to makeup essentials.

 

ROSE CERAMIDE CREAM

The Rose Ceramide Cream is a rich moisturiser infused with Ceramides and Rose Flower Oil to provide ultimate hydration. The consistency feels thickish but absorbs beautifully into the skin without leaving that heavy feeling on the skin.

This moisturiser is said to provide instant hydration and I wanted to test that. I had a situation a few days back where my skin was on fire as a result of using something that didn’t agree with it. I applied this Ceramide cream and it provided instant relief. I woke up the next morning with my skin feeling well nourished and soothed. It literally saved my skin.

If you want soft, hydrated, protected skin then this is what you need.

 

GLOW TONIC

If you’ve never heard of the iconic Pixi Glow Tonic then where have you been?! This has to be the most recognised Pixi product out there and there’s a reason for that.

I’ve been using this tonic for a few months and it’s hands down one of the best toners on the market. It’s a light exfoliating toner that not only works to remove impurities but also soothes the skin since it contains ingredients such as aloe vera and red ginseng.

 

GLOW MIST

Another glowy fave from the Skintreats collection is the Glow Mist. I received this mist in a subscription box a few months ago and I was amazed when I read that it contains 21 natural oils. These oils plus the addition of aloe vera as well and other fruit extracts ensure that the skin is kept well hydrated and that it receives all the extra nourishment to help repair the barrier.

I use this on no makeup days since I have oily skin. This just ensures that my skin receives all those essential oils. It would be perfect for those with dry skin.

 

EYE REFLECTION 12 PAN SHADOW PALETTE

The Eye Reflection Shadow Palette is a 12 pan mineral eyeshadow palette. The palette only includes shimmer shadows but wow these are so stunning. The formula is really stunning. From the pigmentation to the smoothness of the actual shadows as well as the lasting power.

These would suit all skin tones and is the perfect accompaniment palette for an all matte everyday palette for days when you want a stunning shimmer on the lids.

 

ENDLESS SILKY EYE PEN

The Endless Silky Eye Pen is the ultimate waterproof, smudge-proof blackest black creamy eyeliner pencil. Need I say more?

The formula applies smoothly, there’s no tugging at all. It just glides on with ease. I’ve worn this eyeliner pencil for close to 10 hours and IT DID NOT MOVE. The lasting power is truly impressive.

 

 

 

MATTELAST LIQUID LIP COLOUR – PLEASING PINK

I was so happy when I saw some lip products because you guys already know, lol, your girl loves adding some beautiful lipsticks to her collection. The Mattelast Liquid Lip Colour is a long-lasting, matte liquid lipstick infused with Rosehip Oil to keep the lips hydrated.

The doe-foot applicator comes in one of my favourite shapes, slanted teardrop shape with an indent that holds enough product. It allows for the most precise application. I just wish it was a tad bit more firm.

These lipsticks come in 14 different shades so there’s definitely a colour to suit every skin tone and every occasion.

 

 

LIP LIFT MAX GLOSSY LIP PLUMPER – PETAL ICE

The Lip Lift Max is infused with peptides to add volume to the lips and jojoba oil to hydrates the lips. I love that the gloss isn’t too thick, it has just enough thickness to ensure that the gloss stays put. This specific one is clear in colour and can be worn alone or over a lipstick.

 

There is a slight tingling sensation and that’s a sign that it should works to plump the lips, creating a fuller appearance. I haven’t noticed a drastic lip plump but there’s a little something.
